Energy Psychology - Its Explosive Healing Potential
Psychoanalytic energy therapy and transpersonal approaches
A one-day seminar led by Ruthie Smith and Dr Phil Mollon

Saturday 23 November 2013 - Edinburgh

In this seminar, Ruthie Smith and Phil Mollon will be showing how energy psychology interfaces with conventional psychotherapy approaches to allow the work to move much more quickly. They will be looking at its explosive healing potential which "bursts out in an infinite range of directions, breaking open all kinds of frameworks and expanding in myriad dimensions". There is a kind of exuberance, they will demonstrate, when we follow the natural flow, guided by the energy.

As well as linking to all conventional approaches, energy psychology also interfaces with spiritual dimensions and higher aspects of consciousness, reaching into its depths and heights. They will propose it is deeper than the unconscious, higher than the super-conscious and also intensely transpersonal. This fascinating day, which sold out in London, will explore the different aspects of integrating energy psychology with more conventional approaches, including psychoanalytic, Jungian and attachment based approaches, while working with the parts of the self, archetypes and depths.

Phil Mollon

Phil Mollon PhD is a psychoanalyst and psychotherapist, with a background profession of clinical psychology. He has worked in the NHS for 35 years. The author of ten books, Dr Mollon has written and lectured widely on trauma, shame, narcissism, and Kohut's self psychology. Always searching for better ways of helping traumatised people, his enquiries led him to EMDR, and then to 'energy psychology'. For the last twelve years he has been immersed in exploring the interface of energy psychology and psychoanalysis, to create the approach he calls Psychoanalytic Energy Psychotherapy.

Ruthie Smith

Ruthie Smith is an Attachment Based Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, working for a number of years as a Principal Individual Psychotherapist in the NHS, and prior to that, at the Women's Therapy Centre. With 30 years background in the study and practice of meditation and spirituality, she works in central London at the psycho-spiritual therapy centre she founded, Flame.
