Harriet has been working and studying in the area of psychotherapy for nearly two decades, specialising in the area of eating disorders. She is the Training and Development Manager of Bodywhys, The Eating Disorders Association of Ireland. Harriet regularly contributes to media discussions, via radio, TV, and in print. She frequently lectures and trains students and professionals working in the area of psychiatry, social services and education. Harriet trained at Perm State Choreographic College in Russia and danced with Chelyabinsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre and then Moscow City Ballet
