Dr Adrienne Baker

Adrienne Baker, PhD, was formerly Senior Lecturer on the MA and PhD programmes and on the Professional Training programme at Regent’s College School of Psychotherapy & Counselling where she is now an Honorary Visiting Fellow. Her early professional experience was as a professionally-qualified social worker and counsellor and during that time she trained in family therapy, psychodynamic counselling and group work. She is particularly interested in people going through times of transition, addictive behaviour and the search for meaning. Her publications include The Jewish Woman in Contemporary Society (1993 London, Macmillan) and Serious Shopping: essays in psychotherapy and consumerism (2000 London, Free Association Books).
