Salvatore Martini

Salvatore Martini is a psychologist and a Jungian analyst, a member of the Italian Association of Analytical Psychology (AIPA) and of the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP). He is also a member of the editorial board of the peer-reviewed journal Psicobiettivo and the coordinator of the Analytical Consultation Service of the AIPA.

He worked for 10 years in several public mental health services conducting, among other things, therapeutic-rehabilitative groups of “integrated theater”.

The interest on the body has always characterized his research. Currently it is focusing on the body as a means of unconscious communication and expression in therapeutic practice in particular through the embodied counterftransference.

His paper “Embodying analysis. The body and the therapeutic process” won the Fordham Prize” in 2017.
He lives and works in Rome, where he has a private practice.
